We take children and young people from ages 5 to 18.
Our aim is to offer individualised programmes for each of our children and young people. Whilst some may benefit from/require 1:1 time, others may thrive on being part of a small group. Our pricing will vary depending on the individuals’ needs and on the required staffing ratios. We will endeavour to make the best and most appropriate choices for each individual. Please see our ‘Proposed Services’ attached. This shows a more detailed table of the types of activities we can offer.
Our managers have ‘First Aid at Work’, ‘Forest School First Aid’ as well as SEN and Mental Health training. Between us we also have qualifications and experience in: Veterinary Medicine, Animal Care, Safeguarding, Health and Safety Training, Fire safety, Food Hygiene, Forest School, Art, Music and Horticulture.
Our sessions start at 10 and finish at 2. We are currently offering sessions on Mondays and Thursdays. This will expand as we continue to grow. We cannot offer more than 2 days per week to any one individual. All individuals have to stay registered with their school or home school setting. The pricing will start from £200 per 4 hr session and increase depending on the child/young person’s level of need and the staff ratio required. This will be discussed after completion of paperwork.
Currently we are not part of the Alternative Provision Directory in Essex as the procurement process only opens for applications every 18 months. However, it is our aim to be part of the Local Authority offer, so we have completed all relevant documentation to apply once it reopens. Once we are in the Directory, the registered school would need to apply to the Local Authority (LA) for the child to be referred to us. However, schools can still refer to Brightview Farm without us being listed in the current Directory. Please find guidance on Alternative Provision in Essex in the link below:

If your child/young person has an Educational and Health Care Plan (EHCP), this funding can be used. This will depend on the level of the banding and the arrangement with how the school/EOTAS (Education other than at school) is using the funds.
We are also able to accept privately funded children/young people. This can be done by the parents/carers.
We are currently not in the Alternative Provision directory. We have submitted all relevant paperwork and are awaiting the reopening of the procurement process.
We are situated on a lovely peaceful site in Stebbing. We currently have paddocks with animals, a variety of outdoor learning areas and are working hard to create some indoor spaces. We are hoping to have these ready for when children/young people start with us. However, Brightview will be continuously striving to develop each of our areas. The children/young people who attend will be part of the work in progress on elements such as the horticulture. Those who attend when we first open will have to appreciate that the farm is still a work in progress.
The animals we currently have are 2 pygmy goats, 5 chickens, 4 guinea pigs and 2 rabbits. With supervision the children/young people will be able to interact with the animals during their time with us. Some children/young people may wish to learn lots about their care and maintenance whilst others may opt to just watch them from afar.
One of our managers is a trained Veterinary Surgeon. We can offer in house support in Animal Care. We currently do not offer external certification but are able to support individuals if they have a particular interest in animal care.
